Elmer Fudd was originally called Egghead. Egghead first appeared in the 1937 short "Egghead Rides Again", directed by Tex Avery. This character had a egg-shaped-like head and nose and had a southern accent who, like Fudd was a hunter. Egghead's last appearance was in the cartoon
"Hare-um Scare-um" with Proto-type Bugs and himself.
The second Elmer was called Elmer Fudd and had almost the same personality except he loved animals and had rosier cheeks. This Elmer only starred in one cartoon, "Elmer's Candid Camera" along with Happy Rabbit (a Proto-type of Bugs Bunny)
