Looney Tunes Characters: Elmer Fudd

Elmer Fudd is a famous cartoon character in Looney Tunes.

Elmer Fudd was originally called Egghead. Egghead first appeared in the 1937 short "Egghead Rides Again", directed by Tex Avery. This character had a egg-shaped-like head and nose and had a southern accent who, like Fudd was a hunter. Egghead's last appearance was in the cartoon
"Hare-um Scare-um" with Proto-type Bugs and himself.

The second Elmer was called Elmer Fudd and had almost the same personality except he loved animals and had rosier cheeks. This Elmer only starred in one cartoon, "Elmer's Candid Camera" along with Happy Rabbit (a Proto-type of Bugs Bunny)

The well known Elmer we all know today first appeared in the cartoon "A Wild Hare". Bugs Bunny also made his first appearance in this cartoon. Soon Warner Bros. made Elmer fatter. They soon changed him back. Besides starring in Bugs Bunny cartoons Elmer also starred in Daffy Duck cartoons along with other characters. Elmer starred in TV shows as well. He is one of the most famous cartoon characters ever.
